About Hillary Stiff
Hillary Stiff helps companies across the telecommunications and Internet services industries manage a wide range of complex financial transactions. As an experienced Investment Banker, Hillary Stiff currently applies her expertise as the Managing Director of Cheval Capital, Inc., a boutique investment firm based in Alexandria, Virginia that is a FINRA and SIPC member. Ms. Stiff primarily works with small- to mid-sized businesses interested in acquiring and selling a variety of web hosting and Internet services related assets. To ensure an exceptional level of service, she maintains a large network of industry contacts and continually remains abreast of current trends, technological advancements, and financial fluctuations across the industry. To date, Ms. Stiff has successfully negotiated over 200 web hosting and related Internet services transactions with numerous companies, including NTT/Verio, The Endurance International Group, and Web.com.
Hillary Stiff attended American University in Washington, D.C., and completed a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics. From 1989 to 1993, she gained considerable experience in the financial services industry as the Chief Financial Officer of Dispatch Communications. During her tenure as CFO, she oversaw a host of financial operations and played an essential role in the successful negotiation of 35 acquisitions for the firm.
In 1993, Ms. Stiff left Dispatch Communications after it was purchased by Nextel. She took the opportunity to launch Cheval Capital with her husband and business partner, Frank Stiff, a year later. As a leading member of the web hosting industry, Hillary Stiff regularly shares her knowledge and expertise with colleagues at a variety of conferences, panel presentations, and speaking engagements. A member of WHIR Magazine’s Web Hosting All Star Team in 2009, she was also recently a featured speaker at HostingCon 2012.
